Angelica Vale

Angelica Maria Vale Hartman (also often referred to professionally as Angelica Vale) is a Mexican American performer, actress, singer, comedian and radio host. She was born in Mexico City and raised by the comedian Raul Vale. She was recognized in 1973 as the person who launched the La Balada Ranchera (Ranchera Ballad) music genre. It topped charts, making Angelica Maria the first Latin artist to have sold two million copies in the United States. The year 1974 was the time she began dating Venezuelan comedian and singer Raul Vale, whom she got married in April of 1975. It was the first wedding that was televised in Mexico.
